HIGHER EDUCATION EXPERIENCE                                                                                                    MCPHS University | Boston, MA                                                                                 

Graduate Assistant – Center for Campus Life | August 2015-Present

  • Design and implement programs to support the LGBTQ+ student population, including National Coming Out Day and the annual Colleges of the Fenway Consortium LGBTQ Social

  • Oversee the MCPHS Supports committee, a faculty and staff collective for addressing issues pertaining to the LGBTQ+ population at MCPHS University

  • Directly advise 12 International Student Ambassadors; including recruitment, hiring, training, and payroll

  • Create, implement, and manage a budget of $30,000 for the International Student Ambassadors’ programs

  • Foster leadership development for students through weekly one on one advising, monthly workshops, conferences, and semi-annual retreats

  • Serve as advisor to 10-12 student clubs and organizations through executive board mentoring and assisting with all event planning, execution, and budgeting

  • Negotiate contracts and book talent with college-based talent agencies and local event companies

  • Responsible for the supervision of student employees within the office; including hiring, training, scheduling, and professional development

  • Organize community service and outreach for students through partnerships with local non-profit organizations

  • Assist with coordinating major campus events including Orientation, Commencement, International Education Week, Senior Week, and Family Weekend among others

  • Responsible for the marketing campaign for Campus Life; including social media, electronic communication with students, visual marketing, and promotional items

Summer Graduate Orientation Intern | June 2016-August 2016

  • Created a student leadership training program for the Orientation Team Leaders, a group of students who oversee the Orientation Leader Program

  • Served as professional on call for approx. 300 students including the Orientation staff and first-year students during summer programs

  • Assisted with the creation and implementation of all Family and Guest Orientation programs

  • Serve as facilitator for the MCPHS “Q&A Student Forum” during each Family & Guest Orientation session

Street Team Coordinator – Center of Community Service | June 2016-Present

  • Advise the Service-Learning Street Team, a group of 10-15 student leaders who give asset based community tours of the neighborhoods surrounding Northeastern’s campus, assist with Center programs and initiatives, and collaborate with Teaching Assistants to promote the Service-Learning program to the campus community

  • Create learning outcomes and implement a semester-long curriculum plan for the Street Team

  • Ensure student accountability for hours worked through managing student employee payroll

  • Spearhead the marketing, promotion, recruitment, and training of the Street Team at the start of each semester

  • Develop and facilitate professional development workshops for all of the student leaders within the Service-Learning Program at least once a month

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of the semiannual Service-Learning Expo, which has over 200 attendees each semester

  • Collaborate with students, faculty members, and community partners to enhance relationships between stakeholder groups

  • Support Center of Community Service initiatives such as MLK Day of Leadership & Service, the campus-wide student volunteer fair, and NU Day of Service

Graduate Admissions Coordinator – Bouvé College | October 2015-Present

  • Manage all email communication for the College Student Development & Counseling program admissions team

  • Monitor the application database system, and all admissions processing

  • Track applicants’ application status/materials and coordinate on-campus and phone interviews with candidates

  • Recruit and promote the program by participating in Northeastern University’s open houses and communicate information about the program when attending national and regional conferences
